Elon Musk to buying Manchester United?
Elon Musk has stated that he will purchase the British soccer club Manchester United.
Also, I’m buying Manchester United ur welcome
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) August 17, 2022
Musk responded to a tweet he posted, "To be clear, I support the left half of the Republican Party and the right half of the Democratic Party!"
Musk posted the same
message on Twitter the day Musk was scheduled to attend an event to support his
top US House of Representatives Republican Kevin McCarthy.
Musk often speaks about politics; in the summer of 2018 Musk said the opinion that Trump is too old run for president once more and would be inclined to vote for the Florida's Republican Governor Ron DeSantis for president in 2024. However, this time Musk is leaning towards sports.
One of the teams that has the most fan base in the world, Manchester United has a record of 20 times as English champions, and three times as the winners in the European Cup, the top club competition in soccer.
The American Glazer family, which is the owner of the team, was unable to immediately respond to requests for information. The closing of the market on the 16th of August the team's value was an $2.08 billion (Rs16,474 crore) market value.
Because of the team's struggles in their field Manchester United supporters have recently protested against the Glazers who bought the team in the sum of 790 million pounds (around 7581 million) during 2005. Following the fact that Manchester United played in a failed effort to form an independent European Super League last year The anti-Glazer campaign gained momentum.
A few supporters have been pushing Musk to buy Manchester United rather than Twitter. Musk is currently suing the courts in an attempt to sabotage an agreement worth $44 billion to purchase the social media giant.
Then, Musk has confirmed that Musk was just joking when he claimed he would purchase English soccer team Manchester United.
"No, this is a long-running joke on Twitter. I'm not buying any sports teams," Musk stated in response to one of his followers to confirm if he would be committed to buying the team.
After Musk admitted he was just joking, Musk's Manchester United Fanatics Club Hungary stated, "It's just a tweet from somebody who not always thinking twice before write something (sic)."
A statement from the Manchester United Fans Club Kolkata stated: "It again reinstated the fact that Elon and his tweets are just gimmicks. Although it would have been great if he actually invested 1/10th of what he paid for Twitter to own this legendary club ... the entire fan base is sick and tired of the Glazers."
Under the legendary boss Alex Ferguson, Manchester United took home its first Premier League championship in the 2012-13 season. Since then, however, Manchester United has fallen behind its cross-town adversaries Manchester City, who has claimed four of the five titles they have won in the past. Cristiano Ronaldo, a desired striker of the future, is allowed to leave Manchester United this summer provided that he is able to find a club willing to buy the player.
