The Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday inaugurated Amrita Hospital at Faridabad, that is currently being built with an estimated cost of approximately Rs 6,000 crore. It is will help increase access to modern medical facilities throughout the National Capital Region (NCR).

The hospital is expected to have 81 specialty departments, as well as 64 state-of-the art Operation Theatres and 10 bunkers for oncology with precision. The hospital is expected to be solar-powered. The total area of the built-up area exceeds 75 lakhs square. feet, which includes 36 lakhs sq. feet. of hospital facilities the hospital's management stated in an announcement.The campus of the hospital that spans over 130 acres has been called one of the biggest green-building medical projects ever built in India and has a small carbon footprint and no wastewater discharge.
