Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has finally made his thoughts on his position on the "boycott Laal Singh Chaddha" trend on the micro-blogging website Twitter. The film is receiving a lot of criticism on social media due to remarks made by the actor regarding India some time ago. The result was that many asked for an outright boycott of the film.

According to a reputable newspaper report in which he was asked if protests against his films bother Aamir, Aamir said that it causes him to be "sad".

The star declared: "Yes, I feel sad. Also, I feel unhappy that some of the individuals who are saying this, in their hearts, they truly believe that I am someone who doesn't like India. In their hearts, they believe, but it is not true for sure. I truly love the republic... That is how I am. It is rather unfortunate that some individuals feel that way," That's not the case. "Laal Singh Chaddha" is an adaptation of Hollywood classic "Forrest Gump". It also features Kareena Kapoor as well as Aamir as an ordinary, gentle man, originally played in Tom Hanks' 1994 iconic film.
